Welcome to another edition of The Internet in a Telegram, Nevoazul's newsletter about information consumption in digital media. After a long absence, we are happy to return to these virtual letters and share with you what has been inspiring us on the web. In this edition, we write about Nevoazul's plans for the new year and present, in a rather shy way, a new research project we are working on.
✨What to expect from our Telegrams
The newsletter will return to a monthly format and present a new organization of the information. First, we will welcome you, then we will share two websites that we have recently added to our favorites, write a little about each one, present a collection of links related to web culture, and end with a simple Até já (our way of saying See you Soon in Portuguese). From time to time, we'll send a special newsletter to let you know about announcements, events, or projects from Nevoazul.
💥 An index for the web
What is hiding in the shadows of the web? Can we still consider ourselves web surfers if the time we spent online is wasted on one single platform? With these questions swirling in our heads, we started a research project to be released in March, the month that marks the 32nd anniversary of Tim Berners-Lee's proposal that led to the creation of the World Wide Web. More news soon!
⚡️ Cultural projects
Mixing art, culture and the internet is very much in our plans for 2022. We still can't unveil if it will be an exhibition or an installation, an essays book, or even the fourth edition of Nevoazul magazine. What we can guarantee is that it will mix the analog and the digital, the online and the offline.
🌟 The Internet as a good place
We keep coming across projects, organizations, events, books, and articles about what it means to be online today and how we can make the most of the web as a place of knowledge, empathy, and care. On Nevoazul's Instagram account we'll share these discoveries and introduce the people who stand behind the various projects.
That's all for now. We hope you've enjoyed the news! If you have suggestions, questions, or ideas please feel free to share them with us by replying to this email.
Até já,
Inês 🌿
Welcome back and all the best in your new projects!
